Hi, I’m Steph from Bazooka Kazoo! I’m a paintbrush-wielding, toddler-wrangling, neurospicy mom of two, and this is our story.
I’m an artist from Arizona, and my husband is a comedian from Southern California. We met in Seattle, and moved to Berlin in 2018.
Ian and I both grew up loving heavy metal in the 90s. A lot of the art you see here is influenced by band t-shirts and album art that I had back in the day.
When our son was a baby we would stay up at night while he slept and we would eat popcorn, watch movies, and crack jokes like Beavis and Butthead or Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I started filling my sketchbooks with these hilarious pun cartoons, and thought what if we made stickers? Would people like them?
So we decided to create a shop where we could share these ideas. And it turns out YES people DID want this art in their lives.
Since we opened shop we’ve sold t-shirts, hoodies, kids’ clothes, totes, magnets, stickers and one lucky person got a tattoo inspired by our #1 design: the Fuckity Godmother.
We’ve learned many lessons, at one point we even had to change our business’s name. But one thing has remained the same, and that’s our connection to the folks who take the time to purchase our items.
Every time someone orders from us they get something extra, and a handwritten note thanking them for their purchase. Then we send it out as soon as we can, often on the same day. If there’s a problem with an order, we want to solve the issue to the best of our capabilities as soon as possible.
Sometimes we get thank you letters in the mail, often with creative gifts, and it reminds us that the connections we build are real.
Surround yourself with humor by putting our cheerful designs on everyday items in your home and office.
Have you had your daily smile?
